7 Ways to Repurpose Old Blog Posts

Write a blog —> Publish —> Write a blog —> Publish —> Write a blog —> Publish

If this is your approach to content, you’re DOING IT WRONG!

Before Marie Kondo got her Netflix show, small businesses have been dumping perfectly good content in the trash for years.

There is a myth that survived the early days of blogging, which is that MORE CONTENT = MORE RESULTS. So you find yourself blogging breathlessly, trying to churn out as much content as possible. As soon as you hit publish, you’re onto the next.

And you wonder why no one is seeing your stuff?

Writing a blog or making a video, publishing it, and moving onto the next is a little like wearing your favorite shirt — the one that fits you so well and always brings in compliments — and then throwing it in the garbage. In this scenario, even Marie Kondo would get on a plane and beg you to PUT DOWN THE TRASHBAG.

In the spirit of tidying up, let me tell you this: YOU DON’T NEED MORE STUFF/CONTENT, you need to make better use of the content you have.

Derek Halpern talks about this with the 80/20 rule.

20% of your time should be spent CREATING content. 80% of your time should be spend PROMOTING that content.

In this episode of Awkward Marketing, I’ve got 7 ways to repurpose your content and turn your “trash” into TREASURE. (I bet you haven’t thought of all 7 before.)

Grab the Content Repurposing Toolkit and turn your old, tired blogs into fresh content that gets you in front of new audiences:
